VOXI Mobile announces 20,000 £5 donations for customers in support of Teenage Cancer Trust

Delivered as part of the latest VOXI Drop, the donations will support Teenage Cancer Trust's unique patient care for young people.

VOXI Mobile is partnering with Teenage Cancer Trust to help support their unique care for young people with cancer, so that they can truly live their lives to the fullest.

In support of the partnership, VOXI Mobile has made 20,000 £5 donation codes available to customers, which VOXI Mobile is donating on their behalf, with customers then able to select where they would like their donation to go.

VOXI customers can each choose to support one of the following three key support areas*:

  • Places: Designed together with young people, the Teenage Cancer Trust units are spaces where young people facing cancer can feel at home, meeting others their age or welcoming friends and family while getting the very best care.
  • People: Teenage Cancer Trust nurses are specially trained in how cancer affects teenagers and young adults, so they can deliver world-class medical care. Working alongside the nursing team, Youth Support Coordinators provide crucial non-medial support that focuses on each young person as an individual, and not on their diagnosis.
  • Peer Support: Teenage Cancer Trust brings young people with cancer together to share experiences, develop life skills, build connections and, most importantly, have fun. Knowing you are part of a community helps young people feel positive and empowered. Teenage Cancer Trust also provides information and support to young people with cancer on topics like fertility, nutrition, exercise, employment and more during peer support activities.

Consumers vote VOXI Best Network, Best Value and Most Reliable at Expert Reviews’ Mobile Network Awards

Vodafone youth brand VOXI - which lets customers use selected social, music and video apps as much as they like without eating into their general data allowance - has added to its award collection.

To get involved, VOXI Mobile customers simply need to: log into My Account before 31 October 2024; tap the VOXI Drop button; claim their £5 donation code; and choose the key area they would like to support on the Teenage Cancer Trust’s website. VOXI Mobile will then donate £5.**

As announced on social media by comedian Jack Skipper, customers can also choose to opt in to a prize draw when completing their donation, for a chance to win a pair of tickets or a VIP box for five at Teenage Cancer Trust’s night of comedy at the Royal Albert Hall in March 2025.***

Teenage Cancer Trust exists to care and support young people with cancer in the UK. Operating 28 specialist treatment centres in NHS hospitals across the country, their network consists of specially-trained nurses and Youth Support Coordinators who provide world-class medical care, as well as non-medical care, to support young people with the impact of cancer on all aspects of their lives.

VOXI enhances payment services for mobile handsets

Vodafone youth brand VOXI has introduced new payment terms, helping customers looking for affordable options to spread the cost of their mobile handset.

Scott Currie, Head of VOXI Mobile, said: “I’m delighted to partner with Teenage Cancer Trust again for this month’s VOXI Drop and proud to support the incredible work the charity does to enrich the lives of young cancer patients. By giving our customers the choice to donate to three crucial areas, we’re empowering them to contribute to vital initiatives that make a real impact.”

VOXI Mobile is the mobile network for young people, offering 30-day rolling plans that let you use unlimited**** data across social, video and music apps depending on price plan, without eating into your general data allowance. VOXI Drop launched in January 2019 and more than one million rewards have been claimed to date. The loyalty programme gives customers exclusive freebies every month from well-known brands.

About Teenage Cancer Trust

  • Every day, seven young people in the UK aged 13 to 24 hear the words “you have cancer”.
  • They will each need specialised nursing care and support to get them through it. Teenage Cancer Trust is the only UK charity dedicated to meeting this vital need – so no young person faces cancer alone.
  • Teenage Cancer Trust has 28 purpose-built units within NHS hospitals which are places where young people aged 13 to 24 can feel at home, meet others their age, and welcome family and friends, while being looked after by a dedicated team of specialists.
  • We run events for young people with cancer following their treatment. We bring young people with cancer together to share experiences, develop life skills, build connections – and most importantly have some fun. We give them all the information and support they need at a critical point in their recovery, on topics like fertility, nutrition, exercise, employment and more.
  • Teenage Cancer Trust is now urging people to support its latest ‘Stop Cancer Destroying Teenage Lives’ campaign, to ensure young people with cancer receive urgently needed specialist care and support, in the face of mounting pressures on the NHS and the spiralling cost-of-living crisis.
