Play Your Way to Wimbledon, powered by Vodafone, and its inclusive categories will be back in 2024 following record participation across 2023.
Play Your Way to Wimbledon (PYWTW), powered by Vodafone, will return in 2024. PYWTW, the UK’s largest mass participation tennis competition, saw record participation in 2023 with 14,500 players taking part across 1,500 events across the UK. The 2023 competition saw the introduction of wheelchair, visually impaired and learning disability categories.
Winners of county and regional finals go onto the contest’s national finals on Wimbledon’s Aorangi Courts. PYWTW is part of Vodafone’s partnership with The Championships. During 2023, this included activities such as using 5G to help the visually impaired experience live sport alongside their friends and family.
Alfie Hewett OBE, men’s wheelchair tennis world No 1 and Vodafone ambassador, said: “It’s fantastic to see Vodafone’s continued commitment to making Play Your Way to Wimbledon inclusive to as many people as possible. It was amazing to see so many new participants at last year’s competition thanks to the addition of adult, wheelchair, visually impaired and learning disability tennis categories and I’m looking forward to seeing even more in 2024.”

Gordon Reid OBE, 22-time Grand Slam champion and Vodafone ambassador, said: “Play Your Way to Wimbledon, powered by Vodafone, is an incredible opportunity for people from every walk of life to pick up a racket and get involved. It has been great to see more and more people participating each year and I can’t wait for this to continue in the 2024’s competition.”
Max Taylor, Vodafone’s Chief Commercial Officer, said: “The addition of disability tennis categories at the 2023 Play Your Way to Wimbledon, powered by Vodafone, was an incredible opportunity to drive our ambition to make tennis more accessible and get more people involved in the sport. We’re excited to continue our support for the competition and to see these categories grow in 2024.”
