A host of Britain’s best-loved stars attended The Championships as guests of Vodafone, Official Connectivity Partner of Wimbledon.
Stars enjoyed all the tennis action on Centre Court and No.1 Court, as well as premium hospitality in The Vodafone Lounge over the course of the event.
This is the third year that Vodafone has been the Official Connectivity Partner of Wimbledon, as it continues its commitment to make sport more accessible for all and use its 5G connectivity to enhance fan experiences.
Vodafone, Official Connectivity Partner of The Championships, Wimbledon, has welcomed a host of the UK’s best-loved stars into The Vodafone Suite throughout the event, to enjoy premium hospitality followed by blockbuster tennis action on Centre Court and No.1 Court.
Presenter and former singer Frankie Bridge, who opted for ‘Wimbledon whites’ and chic tennis ball heels, attended the Championships for the first time and shared her excitement at experiencing the tennis fever taking over SW19:
“I want to experience it all, especially as I’ve not been to Wimbledon before. I love strawberries, so I’m here for it. I love Pimms, so I’m here for it. I want to get into the spirit of it. It feels quintessentially British. I’ll maybe even sit on Henman Hill.”

As Official Connectivity Partner, Vodafone will use its world-leading connectivity and the power of 5G to help bring the sport to more people, working alongside Wimbledon and the Lawn Tennis Association.
Speaking about tennis legend Andy Murray’s final farewell on the famous grass courts, which saw his 19-year Wimbledon career draw to a close, Frankie added:
“I was excited to see Andy and his brother play. I knew it could be his last tournament, so I felt lucky to be here for such a moment in tennis history. I also know Judy from our time on Strictly, so I’ll be texting her and hoping to catch up.”
TV and radio presenter Amanda Holden made it a family affair with daughter Lexi by her side, as did Good Morning Britain host Kate Garraway, who enjoyed the outing with her daughter Darcey. Meanwhile, TV personality Zara McDermott brought her dad, the ultimate tennis fan, to join her in catching all the action.
“[My dad] knows everything about every single player. He lives and breathes it, so it’s nice to experience it with him. Usually we get a Grounds Pass, but this year we have this wonderful hospitality experience with Vodafone, so we are really excited.
“My dad is the biggest Djokovic fan, [although] it used to be Federer. He has a Roger Federer cap and, every year for his birthday, I buy him Roger Federer shoes. He’s obsessed. I think, this year, we are supporting Djokovic – I just do what my dad says!”

British singer, songwriter and Eurovision sensation Sam Ryder enjoyed the “behind-the-scenes” action at Wimbledon, having been in the studio since January. Sporting greats and football stars Theo Walcott, Jordan Henderson and Bethany England were all spotted catching-up in The Vodafone Lounge on Wednesday as well – the day Djokovic progressed through to the semi-finals and Rybakina defeated Svitolina on Centre Court, hours ahead of England’s own nail-biting semi-final showdown.
Also in attendance over the last two weeks were: British actresses Hannah Waddingham and Jameela Jamil; Manchester City winger Jack Grealish; TV personalities Louise Thompson, Lucy Mecklenburgh and her partner, actor Ryan Thomas; British athletic greats Sir Mo Farah and Greg Rutherford; Blue Peter alum and presenter Helen Skelton; actor and TV presenter Joe Swash; and lead singer of The Streets, Mike Skinner.

This is the third year that Vodafone has been the Official Connectivity Partner of Wimbledon as it continues its commitment to using 5G technology to enhance fan experiences whilst opening up the game and making it more accessible for all.
This year, Vodafone launched its new ‘Connect Better’ challenge, pledging to donate up to 75,000 connections to help people and sports clubs cross the digital divide. The challenge monitored the fastest serves across the Gentlemen’s, Ladies’ and Wheelchair singles competitions each day, and will be matching* the miles per hour (mph) total in an equivalent amount of donated connectivity.
