Overwatch

Overwatch is a multi-player action game series. Set in the future, players battle in teams to achieve an objective, such as capturing or controlling a piece of land. The series has moderate violence and bad language so is rated 12+. Overwatch 2 is available on a range of gaming platforms such as Xbox, Nintendo Switch and Windows.

Players are divided into two teams and there are different modes of play, such as ‘deathmatch’ where every player fights for themselves. Players can pay for in-game items or pay a monthly fee to receive perks as they progress through the game.

Players must have a Battle.net account to play. If the stated birthdate is under 18, the app requires a parent’s email address to confirm account creation.

There are parental controls features available for Blizzard Games including Overwatch. These include setting time limits, disabling in-game purchases and managing who can chat with a child or see their profile information.

Additional safety settings are available such as disabling or muting other players. Safety settings are also available on the gaming platform used to play Overwatch on such as Nintendo Switch.
