First, you’ll need an Apple Watch Series 3 or newer and iPhone 6s or newer on a Vodafone Pay monthly plan. Unsure if your plan can be paired with an Apple Watch? Use our eligibility checker to find out.
Pair your devices
Use Bluetooth to pair your Apple Watch with your iPhone, so you can sync and manage apps across both devices when in range. Need help pairing your devices? See our Set up guide
Add smartwatch connectivity
Get a Connectivity Plan for just £7.50 a month. To get set up, go to the Watch App on your iPhone, select Mobile Data and follow the instructions.
Frequently asked questions
A Connectivity Plan is also known as OneNumber – it provides exactly the same service as a Connectivity Plan, but just has a different name, which is recognised by existing customers.
OneNumber/a Connectivity Plan connects your smartwatch to our network. It also lets you share your phone’s allowances, number and contacts with your smartwatch. So you can use data, minutes and texts, even when you’re away from your phone or WiFi.
If you bought an Xtra plan after 24 February 2023, you will not be eligible for 50% off Smartwatch Connectivity (also known as OneNumber).
If you bought your Xtra Plan before 24 February 2023 you could be eligible for 50% off Smartwatch Connectivity, depending on your plan. Find what benefits you're entitled on your My Vodafone account

To use data on your Apple Watch without your phone or WiFi nearby, you'll need a OneNumber Connectivity Plan to make calls, send and receive messages, and browse your favourite apps. If you don't have a Connectivity Plan, you'll still be able to use the internet on your Apple Watch when it's paired with your phone nearby.
Build your personal watch plan to get your smartwatch and data plan at the price you choose.
You’ll need to use the same network provider for your Apple Watch cellular plan and your iPhone plan to send and receive messages, answer calls and use apps on your Apple Watch.
Apple Watch GPS and cellular lets you use your Apple Watch independently – without needing your iPhone or Wi-Fi connectivity. Whereas Apple Watch with only GPS connectivity lets you do all the same things as cellular, but you’ll need your Watch to be connected to your iPhone via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi to do so. It’ll also work as a GPS tracker, and you won’t need your iPhone nearby to do so.
Apple Watch is the ultimate device for a healthy life - and it’s as versatile as it is stylish. We’ve included it in our guides to the best smartwatches for running and the best smartwatches for fitness, and the Apple Watch SE is a terrific smartwatch for kids
