iPhone 8 vs iPhone 6s Plus

Which one is best for you?

Launched in 2015, iPhone 6s Plus was the second large format phone released by Apple- after iPhone 6 Plus. It’s no longer Apple’s biggest phone – that honour goes to the flagship iPhone X – but it’s still a good deal larger than the iPhone 8.

iPhone 6s Plus fares reasonably well against the newer phone in many other ways. The newer device has a 7MP front-facing camera compared to the 5MP featured in the older model. Both devices have Retina HD displays, 3D Touch and a 12 MP camera, for example. However, given that there’s three whole generations between the two devices, iPhone 8 inevitably pulls ahead of the iPhone 6s Plus.

The 64-bit A11 Bionic processor of iPhone 6 Plus leaves the A9 that power iPhone 6s plus way behind. This prepares iPhone 8 for new augmented reality apps hat Apple is reportedly developing.

You may prefer a big display to the bells and whistles of a newer model – and despite there being two years between them, iPhone 6 Plus still compares favourably to iPhone 8. Ultimately, it may just be down to which size phone you prefer.
