Which one is best for you?
Two years is a long time in phone technology, so the iPhone 8 was always likely to outclass the iPhone 6s. With its latest range, however, Apple is really setting out its vision for the future.
From the A11 Bionic chip at its heart to the wireless charging Apple has introduced for the first time, iPhone 8 is a clear leap forward. It may even have broken some records, with the California giant claiming the toughest glass and smartest processor of any smartphone.
Amid a number of advances, iPhone 8 has an improved camera with optical image stabilisation and wide-colour capture – giving you better action shots and more realistic images. iPhone 8’s True Tone display outshines the Retina HD of its predecessor, allowing for improved viewing of 4K video content, another first for Apple’s latest range.
Throw in further innovations such as the new Portrait Lighting feature that creates stunning selfies and you have a device that clearly has the future in mind.
Judged purely on the specs, iPhone 8 is a better device than iPhone 6s. However, iPhone 6s is still a great phone and some will prefer its classic look, 3mm headphone jack and more modest price.
