Which one is best for you?
With many of the same specs as iPhone 7, iPhone SE has a lot going for it if you like a pocket-sized phone with some essential premium features. Thanks to its A13 Bionic chip with third-generation Neural Engine, it can keep up with most modern apps and games, and a rear 12-megapixel camera lets you take impressive pictures. You won’t miss out on the convenience of fingerprint recognition – though it doesn’t feature 3D touch, which all the later models have.
iPhone 8 Plus, on the other hand, will suit anyone who wants a slightly larger screen - iPhone 8 Plus has a 5.5-inch screen, compared to iPhone SE's 4.7-inch screen - with a higher resolution. iPhone 8 Plus has not one but two rear 12 megapixel cameras, which cleverly work together to offer 2X optical zoom or 10x digital zoom, as well as enabling some neat special effects. Both phones come with Portrait mode - however, only the iPhone SE offers advanced bokeh and Depth Control, as well as digital zoom up to 5x. The iPhone SE also comes with six Portrait Lighting effects, compared to the five on the iPhone 8 Plus. Both phones have True Tone flash with Slow Sync.
If you're looking for a larger screen to immerse yourself in games and films, as well as some great features, iPhone 8 Plus is a terrific choice. However, iPhone SE is a small yet mighty contender as it's packed with much-loved features which will easily keep up with busy days.
