iPhone 16 Plus vs iPhone 14 Pro
Which one is best for you?
iPhone 16 Plus and iPhone 14 Pro are both excellent phones - let's look at some of the differences between them so you can pick the right model for you.
iPhone 16 Plus was released two years after iPhone 14 Pro, so it has some tech advantages over the older model. iPhone 16 Plus was designed for Apple Intelligence - Apple's AI phone technology – and has a more modern A18 chip, a Camera Control button, and USB-C charging. The updated chip means the iPhone 16 Plus has a longer battery life than iPhone 14 Pro, offering up to 27 hours of video playback compared to 23 hours on iPhone 14 Pro. iPhone 14 Pro users benefit from the Pro camera system - with a telephoto lens and ProRes recording up to 4k at 30 frames per second. Although iPhone 16 Plus doesn't have this Pro camera system, it has the ability to take spatial photos and videos - these can be viewed in 3D on Apple Vision Pro technology.
When it comes to display sizes, iPhone 14 Pro's screen measures 6.1 inches - this is a more pocket-sized option compared to the 6.7-inch display of iPhone 16 Plus. Unless you regularly use your phone for gaming or watching films, the smaller screen size is generally better for usability. Despite being smaller, iPhone 14 Pro packs a storage punch - offering a maximum of 1TB storage compared to 512GB on iPhone 16 Plus.
If you rely on your iPhone storage, iPhone 14 Pro certainly has more options - plus it's likely that this model will cost you less because it's older. However, if you want to keep up with the AI curve in mobile phones, then iPhone 16 Plus might be the better model for you.
