iPhone 13 vs iPhone 14
Which one is best for you?
Apple iPhone 13 was released in September 2021, with iPhone 14 following a year later, and they’re arguably still worth the investment. The design of these two models is basically the same and both support iOS 18 (released 2024). They also have a pretty similar battery life, with iPhone 14 capable of 20 hours and iPhone 13 offering 19 hours. But let’s dig into what makes them different.
iPhone 13 takes amazing photos, but if the camera is important to you, you might want to choose iPhone 14. The iPhone 14 has a much larger main camera sensor than iPhone 13, with bigger pixels, a faster aperture and sensor-shift stabilisation. What does this mean? Better, more detailed photos and videos. Plus, night mode is also improved.
Whilst iPhone 14 is an upgrade of iPhone 13, overall, it offers very small improvements. If cost is a deciding factor, you won’t be missing out on much by choosing the iPhone 13.
If you’re keen on a faster phone though, iPhone 14 could be the one for you. It has a 5-core GPU compared to iPhone 13’s quad-core, so everything will feel speedier. Plus, it also boasts an additional safety feature; Crash Detection. This gives you the option of letting your iPhone call emergency services if it detects a car crash.
